AusCorp Vault ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). This policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our salary benchmarking service.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information to provide salary benchmarking:

  • Employment details: Job title, seniority level, practice area, employer type (not individual employer names in outputs)
  • Compensation data: Base salary, superannuation, bonuses, and total compensation
  • Location: City or region of employment
  • Account contact: Email address for sign-in, benchmark retrieval, and updates

We do NOT collect: Your name, employee ID, client names, or any other information that could directly identify you.

3. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used to:

  • Generate your personalised salary benchmark
  • Contribute to aggregated, privacy-protected market statistics
  • Send you benchmark updates (only if you opted in)
  • Improve the accuracy and coverage of our benchmarking data

4. Anonymity & Data Protection

🔒 Your anonymity is our priority

Survey responses are collected without identifying information. We never publish individual salary data, and we suppress statistics from cohorts with fewer than 15 responses to prevent identification.

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption. Email addresses (when provided) are kept with private submission records for account access, requested emails, and preference management. They are never shown in public benchmarks or published outputs.

5. Disclosure of Information

We do not share your individual data. Only aggregated, anonymised statistics may be shared:

  • Aggregated statistics: Anonymous, combined data that cannot identify individuals
  • Company-level aggregates: When a company has at least 15 responses, we may publish aggregate pay, policy and rating statistics for that company on its public profile. Individual responses are never identifiable and never shown. Cohorts below the threshold remain suppressed.
  • Service providers: Trusted third parties who help operate our service (e.g., hosting, email), bound by confidentiality
  • Legal requirements: If required by Australian law or court order

6. Your Rights

Under Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to:

  • Access any personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Opt out of marketing communications at any time
  • Lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC)

7. Cookies & Analytics

We use essential cookies to maintain your session while completing the survey. We may use analytics tools to understand how our service is used, but these do not collect personally identifiable information. You can disable cookies in your browser settings.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified on our website. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
